Q: Is my Physiotherapist Chartered?
A: Yes, all Physiotherapists at Tralee Physiotherapy Clinic are registered members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy. This means the have at least a BSc in Physiotherapy and hold the letters MISCP.
Q: Is there a difference between a Chartered Physiotherapist and a Physical Therapist?
A: Physiotherapy and Physical Therapy are interchangeable throughout the world. In Ireland however the Physical Therapy title is not protected by law. It is important to ensure your therapist is a member of the ISCP.
The World Confederation for Physical Therapy recognises the Irsih Society of Chartered Physiotherapists as the sole authoritative body for physical therapy in Ireland.
